General Characteristics

The Javeriana University is a private University, founded in
Bogotá in 1623 by the Society of Jesus
It operated until 1767, when Jesuits were exiled from the domains of Charles III, King of Spain
The Unviersity was reestablished in 1930
The Javeriana University is one of the oldest Universities in Colombia, with its main campus in Bogotá and another campus in Cali
It is one of the 28 universities entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America (AUSJAL), and one of the 114 worldwide
